1. See Mondays as your Allies

Monday is the day that you should use to plan your week. The people who defend the phrase ‘I don’t do Mondays’ perhaps are more prone to put aside obligations after a hustle weekend.

Sit with a cup of coffee and take 15 minutes of your morning to start planning your weekly tasks, this way, you will be updated with all you have to do during the week and you can bring order to the tasks.

2. Create a To-Do List

This is an incredible way to get by successfully during your week; in fact it’s a key to efficiency. As an extra work organization tip we suggest you to create your To-Do-List the night before, so you can reduce anxiety once you are sitting on your desk. Select the top 4-6 priorities you want to accomplish by end of Friday and start by:

  • Spend 20 minutes updating with your emails and responding to urgent items.
  • Close your email inbox (as in remove it utterly from your sight) and focus two to three hours on your most important task. Please, don’t try to multitask within your day; the best is to concentrate completely on one responsibility at a time. Ugly truth about multitasking
  • After lunch focus on the ongoing tasks. If you prioritize intelligently, you’ll focus your time and energy on top value activities.

Remember to take small steps every day; it’s much easier to develop a project or achieve a goal if you break your ideas into pieces and focus on each perfectly. Don’t hesitate on clearing your list on the first 2 days of the week; it won’t get you anywhere but to a stressful kind of day.

3. Set Deadlines

Setting a deadline will really help focus your time and energy on what’s need to be done by a specific endpoint besides it will ensure the project is done on time.  It’s essential that you keep a calendar with all your deadlines on it, including an established time to end each task, this way you won’t fall into the procrastination bubble; instead you will always achieve what you’re aiming.

4. Keep your Desk Clear

Your productivity also depends on your working area; a messy working area would not let you clear your mind, besides you will cast a messy image of yourself to your other coworkers and associate it with your working skills. Establish zones in your working area for different functions; give anything a place, you may even assign an area for your mug. By having an organized working area you will see a greater formation of fresh ideas.

5. Listen to Music

Music is a common technique for handling stress; it will keep your mind focused on the tasks at hand.
